This cosy little restaurant in London offers pasta, gnocchi & other warm Italian fare. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and it was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. The restaurant gives off this impressive first date vibes with its bold red and green walls, wine barrels, and art. The decor is simple yet elegant, and the lighting is just right.

Aside from the authentic Italian food, what really cements its name as one of the best Italian Restaurants in London is the fact that it’s all reasonable priced! You’d expect that for such good food and amazing atmosphere, that you’d be be breaking the bank so its good to know this is a fairly priced restaurant.

📍Unit 7 St George Wharf, London SW8 2LE, United Kingdom

Italo

A group of people sitting outside of a restaurant.

Italo is a super cute restaurant in Vauxhall with a changing menu and consistently fresh bread. The interior is easily worthy of any Instagram post because of it’s rustic Italian vibe, they also serve as a deli and the place is filled with a bunch of Italian products and souvenirs.

It’s also practically famous in the neighborhood because of their signature sandwiches that are absolutely packed with flavour so you should probably expect a queue when going in. Everyone I know who has visited this spot loved  the food and we’ve been coming in for weeks now!

Another neighborhood Italian restaurant known for being London’s best hangout spot for Italians missing their hometown. Not only do they serve authentic pasta dishes, they also have a bunch of Greek dishes, and pizza available. I swear, this is where I found the best pasta in the city.

Maybe it’s because its prepared right in front of me, amplifying the experience, or because they use traditional methods and equipment. This is a must-visit for anyone looking not just for Italian restaurants but for anyone looking for the best restaurants found in Vauxhall!

📍Unit 3, Market Place, 7-11 S Lambeth Pl, London SW8 1SP, United Kingdom

I absolutely love this place. Not only do they have seasonal menu to make sure you’re classic Italian food is served with the freshest local ingredients, they also make everything to order! Hands down one of the best Italian food I’ve ever tasted during my visit to London, so imagine my surprise when I heard the chef was so young.

When everything is made with such skill that you’d think they’ve had years of experience under their belt. Definitely a good spot with a bunch of room for improvement and I’m pretty sure with enough time, this spot would absolutely blow up in popularity!

Other Italian Restaurants Near Vauxhall London

Sapori

Nuovi sapiri italian restaurant london london london london london .

Fast, tasty, and efficient. The words that come to mind when talking about Sapori. It’s opening hours are also super early in the morning so you could enjoy Italian classics right before you head out for the day!

It’s cool that just because they’re an Italian restaurant, they also serve British classic dishes like Full English Breakfasts or the iconic Bacon and Eggs. Though, not exactly located in Vauxhall, this spot is more than worthy of a mention. Last thing, if you ask for more cheese, they just give you a big ball and then its up to you how much cheese you want, it was absolutely mind-blowing to me.

📍60 Horseferry Rd, London SW1P 2AF, United Kingdom

Osteria dell’Angolo

A dining room with a table and chairs.

One of the best places to eat if you’re looking to impress someone on a first date. I’m married now and while I wouldn’t say that Osteria Dell’Angolo was the reason why, their beautifully prepared food and extensive wine list definitely made me look good.

They don’t just slap on a piece of meat or a fistful of pasta on plate and call it a day, they have generous portions that are presented in way that rivals those of other high-end restaurants. Everything is super delicious so the only thing you’d have to worry about is what wine pairs with what, don’t worry though since the staff are more than happy to help!

📍47 Marsham St, London SW1P 3DR, United Kingdom

Atmosfera Ristorante

The interior is stunning with a modern dim-light vibe with huge chandelier above. The food is fantastic and live music and singalongs just give off this chill vibe perfect for friends.

It’s a fairly new restaurant since they’ve opened its doors sometime around 2020 I think, but they’re quickly making a name for themselves as one of the prime spots for good Italian food.

My personal favourite. They have a outdoor seating which I highly recommend because the decor is serene and lush, reminds me of a courtyard garden. They serve Persian-inspired food and Italian cuisine, and both are served with fresh, homemade ingredients! They also have a wine bar of authentic Italian wine that go swimmingly with all of their healthy dishes.

They don’t offer delivery and I think its fine because its an experience you have to experience in the restaurant itself. Lastly, I was delighted and impressed that the owners took the time to personally thank everyone and are very open to feedback, which is pretty heartwarming and wholesome.
