My Picks of the Best Restaurants Near Bank

Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte

One of the best restaurants near bank station that we’ve ever had to pleasure of drinking and dining in is Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte. What’s cool about this cosy restaurant is that there’s no huge list of main dishes to choose from because this restaurant serves only one main dish. the steak frites served with a complex and buttery sauce. It’s one of the top places to eat if you’re not in the mood to choose from a long wine list or a wide selection of small plates, it’s simple food that is executed perfectly.

COYA City

A restaurant with a blue tiled wall.

This dining restaurant offers an immersive fusion experience that combines Latin American, Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish cooking techniques. It is well-known for its lively dining experiences, stylish brunches, and live music. It’s also bright and boisterous in its interior design featuring a lot of lights and wood. It’s also a restaurant in the heart of London’s Mayfair market which means that literally a minute walk away its city location you could find a bunch of other attractions!

If you manage to secure a seat outdoors, you’ll be treated to a relaxing lunch and dinner while watching the busy market people pass you by.

Fortnum’s Bar & Restaurant

A bar in an ornate building with people sitting around it.

The most delightful aspect of Fortnum’s Bar in London, especially at the Royal Exchange location, is its tasteful and spacious ambience, offering high-end fare and afternoon tea in the Royal Exchange courtyard. Perched atop One New Change, the restaurant boasts an opulent rooftop bar complete with a cocktail lounge, dining area, and an outdoor terrace offering breathtaking views of the City of London.

To be honest it’s quite difficult to book a table here since it’s a well-known local favourite but since their practically open all-day it’s a convenient place to eat and drink. We had a super grand time, feeling like royalty here because of their decor, it’s certainly perfect for boozy celebratory dinners because their champagne is nothing short of excellent.

Burger & Lobster Threadneedle Street

A restaurant with a checkered floor and a large chandelier.

Burger & Lobster Threadneedle Street keeps it simple with a set-price menu featuring honest burgers, whole lobsters, or lobster rolls served with chips and salad. The straightforward approach aligns with a relaxed atmosphere, making it an easygoing spot for any hungry traveler. Anyone looking for near bank would find this to be a spot they would soon come back to time and time again.

We came inside expecting juicy burgers and were delighted that they also have a selection of other juicy beef options and fish dishes. The kicker is that its located a short distance from other attractions near bank so its a good pitstop for tourists.

Electric Bar & Diner

A restaurant with wooden tables and chairs and a neon sign.

Nestled within The Ned in London, Electric Bar & Diner beckons diners with an American-inspired experience. Bar seating and classic red leather banquettes create an inviting atmosphere, inviting customers to savor a culinary journey inspired by American diner traditions. I find it to be one of the best restaurants in the city to just unwind and enjoy classic cocktails.

Catering to a casual dining style, Electric Bar & Diner keeps things accessible with a wallet-friendly price point—£25 and under. Make no mistake though, just because the price is reasonable doesn’t mean that their food isn’t packed with flavour! Adding a note of vibrancy, Electric Bar & Diner is known for its live music. The soundscape enhances the dining ambiance, creating a lively atmosphere that complements the American diner vibe and aesthetic in the heart of London.

Malibu Kitchen

Malibu Kitchen - City of London

Malibu Kitchen is an amazing restaurant that transports diners to the sun-kissed shores of California. Its unique charm lies in the infusion of Californian flavors into a menu that celebrates freshness. What sets Malibu Kitchen apart is its commitment to Californian cuisine, bringing a healthy twist to the private dining experience.

The menu includes salads, with a selection of curated fish and meat, flavorful flatbreads, and a refreshing selection of juices and smoothies. Their weekend brunch is certainly a must-try! They’ve got loads of dishes from British classic dishes alongside other prime cuts of lobster and Sunday roasts. I’m not sure if they do offer bottomless brunch options since this eatery has the perfect vibe for bottomless brunch but we’ll be back here again and again with or without alcohol!

Millie’s Lounge

The interior of a restaurant with tables and chairs.

But if you are looking to put you’re alcohol licence to use, then head on over to Millie’s Lounge! It’s a restaurant and bar located in the grand banking hall, serving classic dishes alongside a selection of English sparkling wines, fine wines, cocktails, and the classic pub drink, a good ol’ pint. This chic bar is mainly known for their afternoon tea that includes classic British tea fare like scones and sandwiches, I highly recommend sharing plates! I think if I close my eyes I can still taste their pudding and cheeses.

Since it’s super near bank station in London, what we like to do is have a simple bite to eat here before moving on to other restaurants in bank.

Mint Leaf

A view of a bar with lights hanging from the ceiling.

Hands down one of to best places to eat near bank or rather anywhere in the heart of the city! They have a wide range of Indian cuisine here sure to satisfy anyone’s food cravings! Take a bite out of their lamb chops and bhel puri and you’ll see why this is such a beloved joint.

But what about drinks? Good news is that it also doubles as a bar and restaurant. Well, when I first set foot on Mint Leaf, I was absolutely blown away by the impressive 16-meter-long cocktail bar that took center stage. With a vast selection of over 500 spirits, guests can customize their drinks to suit their preferences. The cocktail menu introduces Mint Leaf Specials, adding a touch of creativity to the beverage selection.
