My Picks of the Best Tower Bridge Restaurants

Gaucho

A restaurant with a view of tower bridge at dusk.

First off, one of the best restaurants close to the tower is undoubtedly Gaucho. The restaurant is known for their Argentinian steak and wines. Perfect Argentine steaks and cuisine with a Latin American flair are featured on the menu. The restaurant also serves a set lunch menu that is ideal for a quick midweek meal or a leisurely lunch, as well as a bottomless brunch on Saturdays that is themed after Latin cuisine. It’s also super cool that you’re treated to a gorgeous view of Tower Bridge and the Thames.

They also offer a la carte options, that in my opinion is what makes this restaurants so special as you can see how much love they pour into every individual dish. With the fantastic view of the Tower and amazing food, this quickly became one of our favourites.

The Ivy

Simply put this is a fantastic Tower Bridge restaurant if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat pre-theatre. It’s a modern British restaurant with a an amazing terrace overlooking the banks of the river thames of course, the Tower Bridge and the tower itself. I highly recommend the classic British dishes they serve – after a day of walking around the Tower Bridge area, their fish and chips was so filling and delicious that it reenergize us to book a few tickets for the theatre!

Overall, the vibe is great and serene and the service was quick and friendly. It is worth noting though that their riverside terrace is highly sought-after so if you’re looking to take a seat there, I suggest booking a table first, or you could do just what we did and take a walk along the river, and wait for a spot to open, because they’re very accommodating to walk-ins.

While we were looking for somewhere to eat around the Tower Bridge in London we saw this stylish and elegant looking restaurant, and after our first visit, we can confidently say it’s one of the best restaurants around. First off they have a bunch of dining options, if you want to dine here during the day then they offer perfect dishes like shepherd’s pie, eggs Benedict, and the decadent chocolate melting bombe. On the afternoon they have great afternoon tea or margherita Pizza and lastly, during the nighttime they offer cocktails and private dining rooms so you could enjoy one of the best Tower Bridge views in the city of London, in boozy peace.

It’s an Italian restaurant that unfortunately doesn’t serve our usual orders of carbonara and other Italian small plates, but we were so glad we got to experience something new outside of our comfort zone. This is one of my personal top 5s for places to eat and any guide to the best restaurants in London would sure to include this one!

Sushi, salads, soups, rice pots, and noodle dishes are just a few of the Asian-inspired healthy fast food options that Itsu has to offer. It is a Japanese restaurant that is a local favourite for its quick service and healthy options.

I personally liked their prawn tempura and sushi, though I honestly haven’t had the chance the dine inside, since I mainly order my food here to-go since they’re kinda famous for being fast, I did however had the opportunity to dine at other Itsu restaurants. This is my go-to whenever I’m running late or if I just plainly forgot that I had to bring dinner home.

Butlers Wharf Chop House

A white tablecloth on a table in a restaurant.

Next up, we’ve got another joint that became an iconic dining establishment because of their steaks. Seriously, I keep hearing about this restaurant around Tower Bridge for as long as I’ve been staying in London, and it does not disappoint! Their Sunday roasts alone make you want to visit this spot every week.

The restaurant is located right on the waterside so a lot of people might think that a restaurants with great views might distract you from how ordinary the food is, but fortunately this is not the case for Butlers Wharf Chop House! The food is downright amazing and they also offer a bunch of seafood as well like the Crab fitter and the oysters. Of course, any spot famous for steaks should have a wide wine selection, and it’s great that the staff is more than happy to help you choose what goes with your food.

Wagamama Tower Hill

The interior of a restaurant with many tables and chairs.

Literally jus t a short walk from the Tower of London is Wagamama, a casual restaurant with a Japanese-inspired setting. Honestly, this spot is a nice change of pace from the other fast food restaurants near the iconic landmark. I highly recommend their pad thai and their Chicken katsu curry!

We came here with a bunch of friends and we really appreciate how accommodating they are with allergies and dietary preferences, they made us feel like they actually cared about us which was super nice. Lastly, they also serve great green tea for free, which help settles you down when you’re waiting for your food.

Slug & Lettuce Tower Bridge

A crowd of people sitting at tables in a restaurant.

Slug & Lettuce has been around for a long time. They’ve got a bunch of restaurants not just near Tower Bridge in London but all throughout the city so you know they’ve proven their food time and time again. What makes this spot so great is that hey offer happy hour deals with almost unreal prices! You can enjoy hot bites, cocktails, and brunch food all at a discounted price, so make sure to keep an eye out on this one as they frequently push out deals.

Not a lot of people know this but they also offer an “Endless Lunch” option which basically means you get a bunch of stuff from their menu with free cocktails, which is a great deal! They also have food that is inspired from French Cuisine like their bone marrow and snails starter which was absolutely amazing!

Coppa Club

London's tower bridge at night in glass domes.

Coppa Club’s main attraction is their igloo outdoor seating that we just had to try. It was surprisingly very relaxing and we had a blast just talking with friends while enjoying the view since it’s located close to the river and docks. It’s a restaurant that would make you stay there for hours because of how relaxing it is, plus, it’s great that they could seat you immediately even without reservations!

What I highly recommend is the combo I went for which was the bucatini carbonara with toasted garlic bread and the Highland wagyu beef carpaccio, which goes amazingly well with their selection of Spanish wine!

Great For: Close Friends, Couples

📍3 Three Quays Walk, Lower Thames St, London EC3R 6AH, United Kingdom

WatchHouse Tower Bridge

The front of a brick building with a window.

Hands down, my favourite cafe in the area! There are many different items on the menu, such as pancakes, avocado toast, and eggs Benedict. For the most recent information, it is advised to visit the restaurant’s website or social media pages as the menu items and prices may change.

It’s a great spot to lounge around and enjoy a cup of joe before you head out and explore the other famous landmarks. Try out their smoked salmon eggs benedict or a cup of their amazing artisan coffee and you’ll see why I like this cafe so much.

Great For: Takeaway, Solo, Couples

Sami Lebanese Deli

Sami london london london london london london lon.

A range of Lebanese cuisine is available at Sami Lebanese Deli, such as salads, baklava, chicken soup, and wraps. The eatery also serves freshly squeezed juices. This is also just a good spot for amazing food at great prices! £10 per person in Central London is actually super hard to find especially considering that Tower Bridge is one iconic tourist hotspot so it’s great that the prices are reasonable.

We shared the hot meze platter and it was so delicious and filling! It’s a great space to just chill and hang out because the atmosphere is so relaxing and the service is so quick and efficient.
