This year marks Just The Tonic’s 30th anniversary in August, and to celebrate, two new venues have been added to their portfolio: Just The Tonic Legends on Cowgate and Just The Tonic at Cabaret Voltaire on Blair Street.

Just The Tonic’s comedy programme boasts an outstanding lineup, featuring notable acts such as Andrew Maxwell, who expresses his excitement for the upcoming show:

I missed not being able to be at the Fringe last year and I’m putting ‘The Bare Maximum’ into my show this year so cannot wait to perform at The Nucleus that my friends tell me is a great room for comedy.

Alongside Maxwell, audiences can expect performances from acclaimed comedians like Nina Gilligan, Lucy Porter, Jimeoin, Patrick Monahan, and Craig Hill.

New additions to the lineup include Alfie Brown, Jaz Mattu, Tom Short, Connor Burns, Kai Humphries, Tom Ward, and Ben Miller, offering a diverse range of comedic styles and perspectives.

The theatre lineup features captivating productions like “Doctor Faustus” – a Canadian adaptation of the classic tale, “The Ballad of Steve Jobs and Buck Taskaroo” – an absurd reimagining of a famous story, “Eric’s Tales of the Sea” – an award-winning Fringe favourite, and “The Weird Sisters” – a power pop musical about sisterhood and grief.

With more shows yet to be announced, Just The Tonic promises a rich array of entertainment, including comedy, theatre, circus, magic, dance, kids’ shows, and beyond. The festival’s Pay What You Want model ensures affordability for both performers and attendees, making it a must-visit destination for Fringe-goers this year.
