Alfie Brown

Alfie Brown, a standout in the UK comedy scene, embarked on his comedic journey back in January 2006 at the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competition. His witty style was influenced by comedy legends like George Carlin, Stewart Lee, Bill Hicks, and Alexei Sayle.

With regular appearances on the UK comedy circuit and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Alfie also ventured into the world of podcasting with ‘Whatever Works.’ His 2018 show, ‘Lunatic,’ earned critical acclaim, with The Evening Standard hailing him as an “intriguing misanthrope” and a “provocative stand-up.”

In 2021, The Guardian lauded Alfie as a sharp social satirist in ‘Sensitive Man,’ and The Daily Telegraph praised his clever wordplay. This show went on to win the Best Show at the 2022 Chortle Awards, solidifying Alfie’s place in comedy history.

However, in 2023, Alfie faced controversy for comments on antisemitism within the Labour Party and past use of offensive language in his routines. Despite the turbulence, his comedic brilliance continues to shine.
