My Picks for the Best Brunch in Wimbledon

601 Queens Rd

The interior of a restaurant with a large glass dome.

I just love how tranquil and relaxing this place is. It kind of gives you the feeling of being outside while still being inside, if that makes sense. This is achieved through their massive windows on a rooftop, that leads to amazing views of the outside garden.

It’s also cool that the view isn’t the only thing that they offer. I highly recommend their eggs benedict with homemade hollandaise, or their great starters! It’s a quiet and relaxing breakfast place with a friendly atmosphere that would make anyone sit back unwind!

📍Centre Court Shopping Centre, 4 Queen’s Rd, London SW19 8YE, United Kingdom

Bill’s Wimbledon Restaurant

A group of people sitting at tables in a restaurant.

After watching a movie nearby we managed to stumble into a restaurant that serves the best European cuisine! It kind of reminds me of a big local family restaurant, we’ve got local sports teams in one table and a big family with kids in the other. Despite how busy it was, we were quickly accommodated by their loving staff!

They have great brunch or breakfast options. I placed an order for matcha lattes, fruit juice, and pancakes for brunch. I was astounded by the good portion size and value for money. Best thing is, they don’t skimp out on the maple syrup for their pancakes!

Here’s where to find the best Turkish Brunch or a Lebanese breakfast in Wimbledon. On my first visit to Megan’s, I had a wonderful time. Booking online was quick and simple. The atmosphere and design were superb, vibrant on a late Saturday afternoon. There is a good variety of options on the menu; the veggie option and the chili chicken shakshouka were standouts!

Second time we went there we had a great plate of smashed avocado on sourdough with baked eggs which was simply amazing! It’s also super close to the Wimbledon station what you could be in and out of the area in an hour or two!

📍86 High St, London SW19 5EG, United Kingdom

Ivy Cafe Wimbledon Village

A restaurant with a bar and orange chairs.

The Ivy has numerous branches spread out across the city but the Ivy Cafe in Wimbledon is hands down the best one. Even from the outside you see a majestic red building and the inside absolutely does not disappoint!

We highly recommend sitting in the conservatory to enjoy natural light and a breeze, as well as the excellent decor, layout, and seating. The cream tea was freshly baked and very generous. There’s also lively background music with a funky soul feel, if that’s your style.

Fire Stables

In the center of the village is a cute pub that could also double as an amazing Wimbledon cafe. The windows are slid back for outdoor dining during the summer. We ordered a Sunday roast and shared a mediocre Youngs dish.

They also have vegan options available which are certainly worth a try. We had the best breakfast ordering their sausage & mash, and the steak and chips. Or if you’re looking for the true British breakfast experience, order a pint!

📍27-29 Church Rd, London SW19 5DQ, United Kingdom

Hemingways

A restaurant with tables and chairs under a yellow awning.

Right on Wimbledon’s high street is what many locals consider as the best brunch spot in the city! It’s a cocktail bar that offer the best bottomless brunch in the area, We opted for the prosecco and cocktail package out of the available packages. The lovely woman serving us took our next order before we had even finished our drinks, and as if by magic, glasses of bloody marys and mimosas appeared!

She was there taking our last order even before the time ran out, which we greatly appreciated. I ordered the smoked salmon and scrambled egg, along with a few other hearty breakfast meals and slowly but surely, our Sunday brunch turned into happy hour!

📍57 High Street Wimbledon, London SW19 5EE, United Kingdom

Maison St Cassien

A group of people sitting outside of a restaurant.

Last but certainly not the least is one of the best places to get some authentic Mediterranean food near Wimbledon common, actually, scratch that, in the city! I highly recommended taking a bite out of their marinated chicken wraps and their baklava – all made with fresh ingredients and amazing technique.

We’ve been coming back to this joint for years now and it’s nice to see that there’s no dip in quality and even in 2023, their staff remained mostly unchanged and could even recognize us when we walk in. Definitely a must-visit!
