Ceru

A post shared by CERU Restaurants 🍴 (@cerulondon)

Ceru is regarded as a top brunch spot due to its delicious and creative Levantine-inspired dishes, seriously though it was unreal looking at how many 5-star reviews they’ve had. The colorful walls, mosaic-patterned furniture, and mix of rustic and modern lighting fixtures give it a warm, inviting, and Mediterranean vibe.

Ceru offers a variety of delicious brunch dishes like Shakshuka with Halloumi, Turkish Eggs, and CERU Kahvalti which features sausages, grilled halloumi, baked eggs, and pita bread. Their weekend brunch option is specifically tailored towards groups as they have a huge variety of small plates that gives everyone a chance to sample a bunch of Mediterranean breakfast dishes, and as someone who’s poor but loves to eat all-day this is a great opportunity for a brunch feast.

Great For: Couples, Groups of Friends

The Hunter’s Moon

A restaurant with tables and chairs and a fireplace.

The Hunter’s Moon interior design is really cool and is something I can describe as some sort of fusion between traditional and modern British decor featuring bespoke handmade furniture, artisan textiles, and unique reclaimed antiques. We went there looking for something a little different than other brunch near South Kensington and we were super satisfied!

Firstly, the brunch menu is diverse and appealing, offering a range of dishes that cater to different tastes. For instance, on Saturdays, brunch dishes include huevos rancheros with grilled flatbreads, and eggs benedict with Gochujang hollandaise and crispy pork belly. Not to mention, their staff is incredibly friendly and professional and helped navigate all of us through their menu.

Great For: Close Friends, Solo

Ffiona’s

A group of people eating in a restaurant.

The food at Ffiona’s uses fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and is homemade, including items like sausages, baked goods, and jams. They also offer a diverse brunch menu with classic British dishes like full English breakfasts, eggs benedict, buttermilk pancakes, and waffles.

Located right on Kensington Church Street, it’s convenient for exploring nearby attractions like Kensington Palace, Portobello Market, and museums, making it one of the best places for a quick break after a day of shopping in high street Kensington, which is exactly what we did! The homey and warm atmosphere made me forget just how much I actually spent shopping.

Aubaine is well known as one of the most beloved restaurants for a great brunch in the area, being a local favourite. They have multiple branches around different parts of London such as Marylebone, Notting Hill, and Mayfair, but it is their location on Brompton road that is just absolutelty stellar.

They are mainly known for their French baked pastries and breads like the iconic french toast and pain aux pistaches but they also have other baked goods in store like sourdough toast. They’ve also started serving brunch with a weekend bottomless option, and let me tell you breakfast in Kensington is ten times better with a bloody mary and freshly baked croissants.

Chuc’s Cafe

An outdoor dining area with a blue awning.

This cute cafe has an elegant interior design with 1950s Italian Riviera inspiration with features like marble bar, vintage light fixtures, floral fabrics, and artwork give a chic, luxurious vibe. I think it’s also cool that their brunch offerings combine their homemade French baked goods, Italian-inspired dishes, and vegan brunch and veggie brunch options . We went here with 4 of my friends and everyone had something to order which was actually a super difficult thing, as all of us have very different preferences.

Signature dishes like the “Chucs Breakfast” with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, etc. using high-quality Clarence court eggs on Sourdough toast.  Overall, Chuc’s cafe in Kensington gardens have a wide variety of tasty options that are more than enough to impress most people so I highly recommend visiting this restaurant with a few friends!

And no, not just the usual scrambled, over-easy, or poached egg options but they serve eggs with a wonderful variety of twists. They also have other non-egg dishes such as their signature item the sweet potato hash rosti and crab cakes with eggs.

The interior design features rustic wood tables, exposed brick, pendant lighting, and homey details to create a relaxed vibe. This eggs royale also feature healthy dishes such as their chia bowls and fresh juices. The menu features creative brunch items like falafel waffles with tahini or maple syrup and jackfruit tacos and Fresh juices, smoothies, and coffee drinks using almond and oat milks make up their beverage menu. I’ll also describe the atmosphere as airy, relaxed, welcoming and Instagram-worthy with its photogenic minimalist-meets-greenhouse aesthetic.

The Ivy Kensington Brasserie

A group of people sitting at tables in a restaurant.

This brunch in Kensington is more on the expensive side, but don’t get me wrong the prices are reasonable, but the atmosphere and interior feels so elegant with crisp white linens, polished dark wood, brass accents, and Victorian inspired artwork gives it an upscale yet relaxed brasserie vibe.

It’s such a good addition to your usual Sunday brunch antics or for romantic dates with your partner.
Their signature items include, Avocado and spinach Benedict which is poached eggs with avocado, spinach and hollandaise sauce on an English muffin and Brioche French toast which are thick slices of French toast with bananas and honeycomb butter.

Restaurant Ours

A restaurant with a tree in the middle of it.

First thing I got to say about Restaurant Ours, is their bottomless brunch option isn’t just limited to bottomless prosecco and unlimited bloody marys but it also includes 3 courses from their menu so if you’re looking for bottomless brunch that doesn’t break the bank this is a must-try!

Restaurant Ours offers a diverse brunch on saturdays and sundays that includes dishes like eggs benedict, avocado toast, pancakes, and sliders with clever cocktail concoctions. The interior is visually appealing, with their pink flower wall and illuminated tunnel entrance, they also have an outdoor terrace giving you a relaxing view that pairs swimmingly with their tasty dishes.

Megan’s on the High Street

A restaurant with a lot of rattan hanging from the ceiling.

Right on Kensington High Street is a brunch spot that is quickly becoming a super popular spot for locals and is one of my personal favourites. It’s part of a small local chain with branches across West London. Whether you’re looking for a bottomless brunch spot to start your day boozy or if you’re looking for a private cozy little spot, then Megan’s has got you covered!

Despite their popularity, they can still accommodate walk-ins and private events so if you and your partner can’t decide on where to get food, which is not as easy as it sounds, then Megan’s is a super Brunch in South Kensington. Their Mediterranean dishes are something that we constantly come back to!
