My Guide to the Best Brunch in Shoreditch

The Book Club

On a recent weekend, I headed to The Book Club, another drag brunch restaurant,ย  to check out their brilliant brunch menu. Located right near Old Street Roundabout in the heart of shoreditch, The Book Club is known as one of the best spots for a boozy bottomless brunch that Shoreditch brunch has to offer.

My friend and I were seated right away and opted for the bottomless brunch package, which included 90 minutes of bottomless bellinis, mimosas, beers, and cocktails. We started with coffees while looking over the brunch menu, which features all the brunch classics like avocado toast, eggs benedict, pancakes, and more.

Midway through our meal, the prosecco kept flowing and a drag queen took the stage to liven up the atmosphere even more. The entertainment was hilarious and had the whole restaurant singing and dancing along. With its central Shoreditch location, weekend brunch menu packed with classics, and outrageous drag entertainment, The Book Club is easily one of the best spots for bottomless brunch in Shoreditch. I’ll definitely be back soon to relive the boozy brunch fun!

Flight Club

While looking for a unique brunch spot in vibrant East London, I headed to Flight Club for their famous bottomless brunch. This trendy darts bar puts a modern twist on the traditional British pub game. In between eating and drinking, we took turns playing darts on the high tech dartboards. The games are really fun and automatically track your score. By the end, we were competing for high scores and bullseyes!

The staff, called Gamesmasters, were also so friendly and offered playing tips. They also offer bottomless booze of brunch cocktails, and don’t get us wrong, we’d happily go back here again just for the games, but oh boy, did the alcohol make it ten times more fun.ย

Theย  brunch menu offered all the classics like avocado toast, eggs benedict, and buttermilk pancakes. I opted for the truffle mushroom omelette which was fluffy and decadent. The unlimited pizza options were also delicious. Aside from the bottomless prosecco and savoury stellar brunch menu, it’s just super fun for us looking for something a little different from our usual sit-down brunches.

Gloria

The dining room of a restaurant on a cruise ship.

Gloria brings a taste of Italian style brunch to East London that is cheeky and delicious. Since opening in 2021, it’s been a mission to get a reservation at this trendy 70’s-style trattoria. The brunch menu is served until 11:30am on weekends, and features elevated classic dishes with Mediterranean flair – think scrambled eggs with bruschetta and a heaping pile of parmesan topped with truffle.

Gloria’s brunch menu has something for everyone, from eggs benedict to French toast, along with Italian favorites like pizza and pasta. Add a spritz or bellini to complete the Italian brunch experience. With its retro vibes and scrumptious brunch plates, it’s no wonder Gloria is one of the hottest brunch reservations in Shoreditch. For mains, you can’t go wrong with their famous 10-layer lasagne or one of their Neapolitan-style pizzas baked in their Marana oven. The pizza dough is perfectly chewy with creative toppings like candied onions and black truffle cream

Rapsa @ 100 Hoxton

A row of tables in a restaurant with wine glasses on them.

For a refreshing change from typical American and European-style brunches, head to Rapsa @ 100 Hoxton for Filipino-inspired dishes. Rapsa comes from chef Francis Puyat, formerly of Yotam Ottolenghi’s NOPI, and makes great use of his heritage in the brunch menu. Sip unlimited drinks including Aperol spritz, prosecco and alcoholic slushies, while feasting on dishes like longsilog, chorizo congee, and the halloumi sandwich.ย

It’s no secret that any brunch offering Filipino food is just sure to give you a breakfast menu that is absolutely packed with flavour however when you add a bottomless option for brunch, then you are in for a memorable time! It is one of the many brunch spots in Shoreditch that I would happily wait in line for.ย

Dishoom

Dishoom adds a touch of India to Shoreditch’s brunch scene. This popular restaurant chain with locations across the UK serves breakfast and brunch dishes inspired by Irani cafes. Try Indian breakfast staples like the bacon naan roll, kejriwal with fried eggs on chilli cheese toast, and akuri scrambled eggs with tomato and fluffy buns. Dishoom’s signature chai is a must, perfectly balancing spiced and creamy flavors. For the full experience, request a seat in the veranda room surrounded by greenery.ย

With its delicious food, vintage vibe, and top-notch service, Dishoom has become one of the best spots for weekend brunch Shoreditch has to offer. Indian breakfast options are tremendously underrated in my opinion and I think everyone should have the opportunity to experience Dishoom’s culinary brilliance!

Cocotte

A group of people sitting at a table outside of a restaurant.

Cocotte nails the winning formula for brunch with delicious French-inspired food, stylish decor, and excellent drinks. While everything on the menu is extremely tempting, I always go by the saying that “If I can’t pronounce it it’s probably good” which means the Truffled Croque Monsieur is a must-try. The waffle croissants also draw eyes, as does Cocotte’s cocktail list including bellinis and Bloody Marys. Add unlimited prosecco to your brunch for only ยฃ20 more.ย

Options rangeย from the traditionalย French Croque Madameย to fluffy pancakes, french toast, and eggs benedict. Youย can add unlimitedย prosecco to createย a festive boozy brunch, and if Cocktails aren’t more of your style, they also have a carefully selected wine menu that perfectly complements your dish!ย

EggSlut Shoreditch

Eggslut london london london london london london l.

Walking around Shoreditch, we stumbled upon this place and immediately went inside. We couldn’t possible ignore a restaurant named “Eggslut”. Anyway, since we were complete newbies to their brunch, the waitress taking our order immediately took notice and recommended a few of their best sellers.

Their main focus is on sandwiches made with incredibly fresh ingredients. I ordered Coddled Egg “Slut” This dish consists of a coddled free-range egg on top of house-made potato purรฉe, cooked in a glass jar topped with gray salt and chives, served with slices of baguette, which all in all was perfect. Though, it was a bit busy when we visited, I would still gladly wait in line again and maybe try out the UK exclusive Truffle and Rosemary Sea Salt Hash Browns.ย

Inspired by NYC, Dirty Bones’ brunch menu is full of decadent, hearty dishes like steak and eggs, chicken and waffles, and short rib crumpets. While carnivores will be satisfied, they also offer equally delicious buttermilk pancakes for a sweet option.

Add bottomless cocktails like grapefruit mimosas and rum-based Hip Monkeys for the full Dirty Bones brunch experience. For an indulgent, meaty brunch in Shoreditch, Dirty Bones hits the spot. We find ourselves coming back to this place whenever we finish a pub crawl and are just looking for tasty meat to help with the hangover.ย

Lantana Cafe

It’s kinda ironic that located in the heart of London’s most iconic areas, is an Australian-inspired cafe called Lantana. Their eclectic brunch menu features items like corn fritters with halloumi, duck hash, and avocado poke bowls alongside brunch classics like eggs benedict. Lantana Cafe brings a taste of antipodean brunch culture to Shoreditch, with a menu packed with inventive dishes. It’s an under-the-radar spot for one of the best brunches in the area.

For drinks, Lantana offers an extensive coffee menu using specialty beans from Australia. I had a flat white, which had nice floral notes and a smooth, velvety texture. They also offer fresh juices, smoothies, and local craft beer and wine.ย
