Renowned comedian Colin Hoult is preparing for an exciting national tour, following a triumphant stint at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. His latest show, “Colin,” promises to be a bit different this time from his other projects because this time he’ll be, for the first time ever, performing as himself! (Not really sure if that’s obvious from the title.)

A Departure from Character

Hoult’s show delves into the complexities of family dynamics and generational differences. He reflects on his upbringing in a working-class environment and the influence of his father’s “proper bloke” persona.

I want to leave the world better than I found it, and not repeat the complicated mistakes of the generations before me.

We’re not the only ones hyped for it because their promoters market it as,

After years of playing characters, Colin is finally showing the person behind them in a hugely joyous stand-up show. Colin explores his relationship with his father (also named Colin) and his son, and how more than just a name can be handed down through a family.

A Unique Blend of Comedy

Despite the shift to personal storytelling, Hoult maintains his trademark comedic style, incorporating brief character sketches and comic snapshots of his family into the performance.

From quirky stories about gorillas and Ouija boards to heartfelt reflections on Christmas memories, “Colin” is a show to entertain audiences with its blend of humour and introspection.
