Edinburgh Fringe Nominees, Paddy Young and Dan Tiernan, are set to record their debut stand-up specials later this month, marking a significant milestone in their careers.

About the Specials

Paddy Young, who recently won the Best Newcomer award at the Chortle ceremony, will present his show titled “Hungry, Horny, Scared.” The show is an exploration of the experiences of a Northern Gen Z individual navigating life in a bustling city.

Young expressed his excitement, stating,

“Dan and I met at one of our first gigs… I can’t imagine shooting my first special with anyone else.”

Dan Tiernan’s special, “Going Under,” delves into his life as a 27-year-old, openly gay comedian grappling with dyspraxia. Additionally, Tiernan shares his decision to transition from his job as a dinnerlady to pursue comedy full-time.

Tiernan said,

“So happy about this and to be doing it alongside my boy Paddy Young is something else.”

The specials will be recorded at London’s Up The Creek Comedy Club on March 20 under the production label 800 Pound Gorilla and directed by Stuart Laws.
