Comedian Daniel Foxx ventures from TikTok to print with his upcoming book, Bedtime Stories For Privileged Children, satirising the extravagant lifestyles of the rich.

From TikTok to the Written Page

Renowned comedian Daniel Foxx makes a leap from the digital realm of TikTok to the traditional world of books with his latest project. The book is based out of his hilarious hit video-series over on Tiktok, here’s the first example!

Although there are only 4 videos available for this series on his Tiktok page we certainly hope the book has more characters than Tarquin and Rupert! Half of the stories in the book will be entirely original!

Acclaim and Anticipation

Of course comedians also are quick to support Foxx and give their insights and reviews after reading the book, Joe Lycett said that it is,

A terribly funny book from an absolutely disgraceful person

While the book has Josh Widdicombe worried if he’ll spoil his kids too much,

Daniel’s writing is hilarious, although it makes me worry about how I’m bringing my children up

Even the publisher of the book came out that this would possibly be the funniest book of the year! Jake Lingwood from Monoray, the ones who actually got the rights to publish the book said that,

You laugh at the children and their horrible families one moment – and then cringe in self-recognition the next. I think this is by far the funniest book of the year and definitely the most zeitgeisty.

Foxx’s Inspiration

Person holding a book titled "bedtime stories for privileged children.

Foxx reveals that his inspiration for the book came from eavesdropping on conversations in his local café, where he was struck by the absurdity of the anecdotes shared by affluent parents.

I can’t take much credit for this, because these stories came to me almost fully formed when I sat in my local bougie café and listened to the yummy mummies and delicious daddies discussing their luxury offspring… I was compelled to note down some of the most ridiculous children’s names I’ve ever heard, along with some truly wild anecdotes, and a few years later, here we are.

Release Date

Bedtime Stories For Privileged Children is set to hit shelves on September 12 over on Amazon or Bookshop.org, offering readers a glimpse into a world of luxury and entitlement. As all good bedtime stories, this 128-page book also comes with black and white illustrations.
