Eleanor Tiernan

Gráinne Tiernan, a renowned stand-up comedian from the UK and Ireland, gained fame with her witty performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where she’s taken the stage an impressive nine times.

She’s a familiar face on TV, having appeared as a panelist on “The Panel” and showcased her comedy prowess on Stuart Lee’s “Alternative Comedy Experience.” Gráinne also left her mark as a writer and performer, contributing sketches to three seasons of “Irish Pictorial Weekly.” Notably, her shows like “Help” (2007) and “Help The Frigid” (2014) have tickled funny bones.

Her 2015 stand-up tour, “National Therapy Project,” further solidified her comedic reputation. In 2022, Gráinne ventured into acting, starring in ITV/Virgin Media Ireland’s “Holding.”

With her humorous insights, she’s also written for publications like the Irish edition of the Sunday Times and been a regular columnist in The Irish Examiner. Additionally, her 2020 stand-up special, “Success Without a Sex Tape,” aired on BBC Radio 4, based on her 2018 Edinburgh show. Gráinne continues to be a delightful presence on the comedy scene, recently participating in Radio 4’s “The News Quiz” in April 2022.
