Ahir Shah

At the age of 15, Shah discovered his knack for comedy at open mic nights, fueled by his father’s encouragement to explore diverse hobbies. Stand-up comedy quickly became his passion. Throughout his school and university years, he continued performing, taking his debut show “Astrology” to the Edinburgh stage in 2011.

In 2019, he embarked on a UK tour with his hit show “Dots.” Shah’s repertoire includes previous successes like “Anatomy” (2013), “Texture” (2014), and “Machines” (2016). He’s not just a stage presence; Shah is also a key writer and performer on BBC Two’s satirical news gem, The Mash Report.

His talents extend to TV panel shows such as Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, Have I Got News For You, and Mock the Week. You might have caught him on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz or witnessed his comedic genius on Live at The Apollo. Acting-wise, he’s graced shows like Campus, Brotherhood, and Catastrophe.

Excitingly, Shah teamed up with fellow comedian Suzi Ruffell for the radio panel show Explicable Me on BBC Radio 2. And don’t miss his 2021 HBO special, “Dots,” a testament to his comedic prowess.
